DOORHOLDERS

We see all throughout the Bible that God calls us to serve Him and to serve others (1 Samuel 12:24; Mark 10:45; Galatians 5:13; Romans 12:1; 1 Peter 4:10) Serving also offers one of the best ways to meet people, develop relationships, and grow in your faith at LOCC. We have all kinds of talents and interests represented at LOCC, and all of those different things are put to use to make our church a more welcoming, effective proclaimer of the gospel. Whether it is holding babies, setting up chairs, greeting guests, harvesting vegetables for the homeless, or spending time with teenagers, these volunteers, called DOORHOLDERS, make a huge difference!

We want our DOORHOLDERS to be excited about serving others. It is not an obligation or something that we have to do. We get to serve others, and that is an incredible opportunity! Psalm 84:10 states, "Better is one day in your courts than a thousand elsewhere. I would rather be a doorkeeper in the house of my God, than dwell in the tents of the wicked. Our DOORHOLDERS know this truth. They have experienced this truth, and their purpose is to now go and hold the door open so that other people can come in and experience Jesus.

There are tons of opportunities to serve. If you want to make some connections and be more involved in the great things happening at LOCC, let us help you find the best place for you. If you know where you want to serve, fill out this form.
